Waterjet Cutting of 316SS for Medical Application

A client from the medical industry recently contacted Austin Waterjet when searching for a cost-effective solution for manufacturing machining blanks. Specializing in waterjet cutting technology, our company was contracted by this client to produce their products.

With the ability to uphold a (+/-) .03 inch precision tolerance, we were able to successfully employ our waterjet cutters to construct high-quality, stainless steel blanks that measured six inches in length, 1.5 inches in width and two inches in thickness. And, by using our sophisticated technology, we were able to offer our customer an effective, cost-efficient solution for manufacturing their products, saving the client $300 over alternative machining processes.
