Sheet Metal Fabrication for Electronics Manufacturing
Through a very efficient combination of laser cutting and CNC forming processes, our expert manufacturing technicians at Austin Waterjet were able to cost effectively create a set of three sheet metal components for an electronics manufacturer.
Our advanced flying optic laser technology, along with computer-driven forming machinery equipped with precision ground tooling, enabled us to accurately and repeatably manufacture the parts from 1/8” thick aluminum. Strict attention to detail allowed us to uphold the required ±.01” tolerance requirements on the hole diameters, hole pattern, angular cuts, and bend radii.
Through well-developed strategies that enabled us to maximize material usage, we were able to provide a significant cost benefit to the customer while meeting their quality expectations.
