Waterjet Cutting of Aluminum Retainer for High Tech Industry
Specializing in steel and aluminum cutting, our company was contracted by a client in the high-tech industry to manufacture a series of aluminum retainers through the application of our superior waterjet cutting technology. With the ability to hold a tight (+/-) .005 inch precision tolerance, we successfully produced retainers that were .5 inches in length and .25 inches in width, with a material thickness of.06 inches. After manufacturing was completed, we refined the surface of each retainer using our advanced vibratory deburring machinery.
Through the combined application of our waterjet cutting and vibratory deburring technology, we were able to assemble high-quality retainers using 606I T6 aluminum. By employing our services to manufacture the retainers, as opposed to using more traditional machining processes, we were able to save our clients up to $2 per manufactured part.
